Umbilical cord stamps are made by inputting his/her umbilical cord into the stamp you have chosen and engraved with his/her name. We have designed a series of stamps to cater to different kinds of parents which is only available in Huaxia Taimaobi.
"BEST WISHES" stamp - a combination of well wishes that you can choose for your child."LIULI" series stamp ? What makes this series so different from the others is that 12 zodiac signs available are placed at the top of the stamp. Each zodiac animal has a different colour, therefore no two zodiac stamps are the same. "Crystal" series stamp - Transparent, simple and clear. Zodiac animal is lasered in the stamp.
7. Are the hair brushes made locally?
Yes. As the only manufacturer in Singapore, we have hence set up a complete brush- making system in Singapore since our establishment in 2003 to speed up waiting time. Specialized brush masters are engaged to ensure that our products are of top quality. Should you be interested in the process of hair-brush making, please feel free to visit us at our factory located at Toa Payoh Lor 8.
Couples brush is made up of your spouse and your hair. According to the Chinese tradition, couples would cut a lock of hair as a belief for a long lasting and happy marriage. A pair of hairbrushes made from your spouse and your hair is another symbol of love and serves as a very meaningful display piece.
9. What is the approximate waiting time for collection of my taimaobi?
As the entire process involves more than 20 different procedures to create the final product, the waiting time is around 6-8 weeks. However, the waiting time may be shorten or lengthen depending on the number of orders received in that month. As your products are hand-made separately and individually, we hope for your understanding.
10. What if my baby's hair is not enough for doing a taimaobi(s)?
Like other products, there are also sizes for taimaobi(s). We have various sizes to cater for babies with different amount of hair. So you can be sure that every baby will be able to have his/her own customized keepsake!(: The size of the pen holder depends of the amount of hair collected from baby. Upon shaving, our sales personals would advise you accordingly. Most babies are able to make a pair of taimaobi with their own hair. Some parents may even input a lock of their hair to make the taimaobi more meaningful.
11. Can I use my baby's taimaobi as a normal calligraphy brush?
Taimaobi is regarded as the best calligraphy brush for painting and writing due to the soft texture.
12. How do I maintain my baby's taimaobi?
As your Taimaobi is a priceless and precious souvenir for both parents and their children, maintenance is extremely important. Keep your taimaobi in a cool and dry place, without any direct exposure to the sunlight. Air your taimaobi once every three months and only clean the wooden surfaces, be it the brush or the box with a moist cloth.
13. Should I shave my baby eyebrow for the first time haircut?
This solely depends on the family's beliefs and traditions. Elderly in the family believe that by shaving off a newborn's eyebrows, it is equivalent to taking away their bad luck from their "previous life".
14. Must I shave my baby's hair on the exact day of the full month?
To date, there are no strict dates on when is the best time for shaving the hair. It can be done anytime between one to four months though most parents would do it during the first month. To prevent disappointment, we will advise customers to call two weeks in advance to book your preferred time slot.
15. What do you think is a good Chinese name ?
A good name consists of five "goods". Pleasing to the ear; pleasing to the eye; nice to read; nice to write and meaningful. It is extremely important to select a good name for your child as names will be with us throughout the rest of our lives.
16. Do you have any subsidiary or franchises? I heard that your company is related to some other companies that are also in the newborn and baby market.
Huaxia Taimaobi is a company on its own, and we are in no way affiliated or related to any other companies. The only subsidiary we have is Cupid's Love, which is based in Malaysia.
17. What are the modes of payment?
For home visit services, cash and cheques are accepted. At our branches, you may wish to choose between the options of cash, cheque or nets.
